The focused browser remains authoritative. Ordinary keyboard operation needs no hardware; device compatibility and physical validation remain separate from automated browser testing.

Installation

Import, focus, test

  1. 1Install or update the official Stream Deck application.
  2. 2Select the exact device and operating-system profile above.
  3. 3Download only a genuine exported profile, and review whether its label is hardware verified or still unverified.
  4. 4Open and focus the Deepgram Open Lab in your browser or installed PWA.
  5. 5Open the Test Console and press each mapped key in Detection Mode.
  6. 6Confirm every expected control is detected before using Navigation Mode.
The focused browser tab receives keyboard commands. The plugin-free profile cannot control a background tab and should not be assigned as a browser-wide Smart Profile.

Privacy and safety

Navigation, never execution

  • No API key, token, customer content, transcript, session ID, or personal URL is stored in a profile.
  • Default controls do not start a microphone, transcription, TTS, voice agent, upload, deletion, or billable route.
  • Visible in-app confirmations and Demo Mode remain in force.
  • The Test Console keeps only the current in-memory detection state and sends no keyboard events to analytics.

Control Deck commands enabled means the browser listener is ready. It does not mean Stream Deck hardware is connected.

Troubleshooting, accessibility, and removal

Nothing is detected

  • • Confirm commands are enabled above.
  • • Focus the Learning Lab tab or PWA window.
  • • Match the OS and device selection.
  • • Use the displayed fallback chord to isolate profile-authoring issues.

Accessible without hardware

  • • Every setup control is keyboard accessible.
  • • The virtual Test Console can simulate each safe command.
  • • Detection is announced with aria-live status.
  • • Key meaning is conveyed with text, status, and shape—not color alone.

Uninstall

  • • Open the official Stream Deck application.
  • • Remove the imported Deepgram Open Lab profile.
  • • Optionally disable Control Deck commands on this page.
  • • No Learning Lab data or browser storage must be deleted.
